Welcome, We’re Glad You’re Here

The Cowichan Family Caregivers Support Society is dedicated to improving the quality of life for caregivers.

We are here for those who are in a caregiving role, supporting an adult family member or friend.

Who Is A Caregiver?

There are many kinds of caregiving situations. At the Cowichan Family Caregivers Support Society (CFCSS), we work specifically with caregivers who are supporting an adult care recipient living in the Cowichan Valley.

A caregiver is anyone who gives care and support to a family member or friend.

A care recipient is the person who is receiving support from a caregiver.

A caregiving family includes the caregiver, the care recipient, and any family or friends who support the caregiving journey.

How We Help

We assist caregivers who are supporting loved ones at home or in long term care facilities in the Cowichan Valley by providing a variety of free support services, catered to the individual needs of each caregiver we work with.

One to One Support

A chance to connect and share feelings while receiving helpful information and resources for your specific journey.

Support Groups

Meet and connect with other people who understand the challenges that come with being a caregiver.

Community Resources

With 20+ years of experience working with caregivers, we have plenty of information and resources to share.

Circles of Support

It takes a village. We help caregivers leverage their existing social circles to better support their needs.
